Prayer Plant
Red Mantis/Red
Maranta leuconeura 'Erythroneura'

Description

The classic "herringbone" prayer plant — deep velvety green leaves with bright red veins and pale green feathered centers. Dramatic markings and the same nightly praying motion. Pet-friendly.

Sun Needs

Medium to bright, indirect light. No direct sun. The red veins stay richest in good indirect light.

Water Needs

Keep evenly moist; water when the top half-inch is dry, never letting it fully dry out. Prefers filtered, distilled, or rain water to avoid leaf-tip burn. Thrives in high humidity.

Repotting Instructions

Repot every 1-2 years in spring in a moisture-retentive, well-draining mix. Use a shallow pot for the shallow roots. Divide to propagate.
