Snake
Kirkii/Star
"Sansevieria kirkii"
Description
A more unusual, collector-ish snake plant with wavy-edged, mottled green leaves that spread in a loose rosette. Tough and architectural with a wilder look than the classic upright snake.
Sun Needs
Tolerates low to bright, indirect light — extremely adaptable. Brighter indirect light gives stronger color and growth; can take a little direct sun. Nearly unkillable on light.
Water Needs
Water only when fully dry, about every 2-3 weeks (less in winter). Stores water in its leaves — overwatering and rot are the only real risks. When in doubt, don't water.
Repotting Instructions
Repot every 2-3 years; likes being snug and can crack pots as rhizomes spread. Gritty, well-draining mix. Divide rhizomes to propagate.
