Description

The "Whale Fin" — a single enormous, broad, paddle-shaped mottled leaf, often sold as a one-leaf statement plant. Bold, sculptural, and a real conversation piece.

Sun Needs

Low to bright, indirect light. Very forgiving; brighter indirect light speeds growth and deepens color. Tolerates a little direct sun.

Water Needs

Water only when fully dry, every 2-3 weeks (less in winter). The huge leaf stores water; overwatering is the only real risk.

Repotting Instructions

Repot every 2-3 years in a snug, heavy pot (it's top-heavy) with gritty, well-draining mix. Slow to pup, but offsets can be divided once they appear.
