Haworthia
"Zebra Plant"
Description
A small, hardy rosette succulent, often with white stripes or "pearls" giving it a zebra-like look (Haworthia fasciata/attenuata). Stays compact, tolerates lower light than most succulents, and is wonderfully beginner-friendly.
Sun Needs
Bright, indirect light to some gentle direct sun. More forgiving of medium light than cacti. Too little light fades the markings.
Water Needs
Water when the soil is fully dry, about every 2-3 weeks. Drought-tolerant; water less in winter. Avoid water pooling in the rosette center.
Repotting Instructions
Repot every 2-3 years in a small, well-draining pot with cactus mix. Remove and pot up the little offsets ("pups") around the base to propagate.
