Peperomia - Watermelon
Description
Compact, easy-care semi-succulent houseplants prized for their thick, decorative leaves. "Watermelon" Peperomia has rounded, silver-and-green striped leaves resembling a watermelon rind.
Sun Needs
Medium to bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun. Tolerates lower light.
Water Needs
Water when the top half of the soil is dry, roughly every 1-2 weeks. The thick leaves store water, so it tolerates a little neglect — overwatering is the main risk.
Repotting Instructions
Repot every 2-3 years; prefers being slightly root-bound. Use a light, well-draining mix (add perlite). Choose a small pot with drainage.
