Pilea
"Chinese Money Plant"

Description

A cheerful, easy plant with round, coin-shaped leaves on slender stems, giving a floating-lily-pad look. Famous for sprouting baby plants ("pups") generously, making it fun to share. Pet-friendly.

Sun Needs

Bright, indirect light. Rotate regularly so it grows evenly (it leans toward light). Avoid harsh direct sun.

Water Needs

Water when the top inch of soil is dry, about weekly. Let it dry slightly between waterings; droopy leaves can mean either thirst or overwatering, so check the soil.

Repotting Instructions

Repot every 1-2 years in spring. Use well-draining potting mix. Pot up the pups from the soil or stem to propagate and build inventory.
