Description
Rubber Plant Has broad shiny oval leaves 10-35 cm long and 5-15 cm Broad. Leaf size is largest on young plants (occasionally to 45 cm long), much smaller on old trees (typically 10 cm long). Rubber Plant leaves, stems, and bark “bleed” white sticky sap when broken or damaged from which rubber can be made. Some people are allergic to this sap when applied to the skin.
Sun Needs
Bright and indirect light; no light for best growth.
Water Needs
During the Spring and Summer keep moist. During the winter allow the soil to dry slightly between watering.
Repotting Instructions
Can be repotted every other year in the spring. Do Not repot if leaves are falling. Make sure it is healthy before repotting.
