Description
A showstopping palm with large, glossy, pleated circular leaves that look like ruffled green fans. One of the most ornamental indoor palms — a true conversation piece.
Sun Needs
Medium to bright, indirect light. No direct sun, which scorches the broad leaves. Tolerates lower light better than many palms.
Water Needs
Keep evenly moist; water when the top inch is dry. Does not like to dry out fully. Loves warmth and high humidity — mist or use a pebble tray to prevent brown edges.
Repotting Instructions
Repot every 2-3 years in spring. Use rich, well-draining potting mix and a pot with drainage. Slow-growing, so it won't need frequent repotting.
