Snake
Bacularis
"Sansevieria bacularis"
Description
A sleek, modern snake plant of tall, narrow, cylindrical spear-like leaves growing straight up in a tight vertical fan. Striking and minimalist — great for tight, contemporary spaces.
Sun Needs
Low to bright, indirect light; very adaptable and tolerant of some direct sun. Brighter light = faster, sturdier growth. Thrives almost anywhere.
Water Needs
Water only when fully dry, about every 2-3 weeks, less in winter. The cylindrical leaves hold lots of water; overwatering is the main danger.
Repotting Instructions
Repot every 2-3 years in a snug pot with gritty, well-draining mix. Divide rhizomes or root the tall offsets to propagate.
