String of Pearls
"Curio"
Description
Whimsical trailing succulents with cascading strands of bead-like leaves. "String of Pearls" has round pea-shaped leaves. Stunning in hanging pots.
Sun Needs
Bright light, including some direct morning sun. Needs plenty of light to stay plump and full; too little light causes sparse, leggy strands.
Water Needs
Water sparingly. Only when the soil is fully dry, about every 2-3 weeks. Very drought-tolerant; shriveled beads mean it's thirsty, mushy beads mean overwatered.
Repotting Instructions
Repot every 2-3 years in a shallow pot. Use cactus/succulent mix for sharp drainage. Handle gently. Strands are fragile but root easily where they touch soil.
